Wet felted in merino wool, silk, locks. Big waves on the North Shore of Oahu inspired this piece as did the memory of Eddie Aikau’s sacrifice as a lifeguard and the true aloha spirit.

<p>A fiber enthusiast from earliest years, I discovered felting in all its various form. I have focused on painting with fiber using wool, silk, embellishing with thread, yarn, rope, beads and all sorts of materials. I am drawn to the natural world around me. Each fiber painting is unique. My work has been shown in local galleries and while I am not a "production" artist, I delight in the appreciation of my work.</p>
