Sea Foam
Ocean inspired, handwoven textile wall hanging. Created on a traditional tabletop loom using repurposed yarns from local thrift stores and handspun, hand dyed yarn sourced from Oaxacan artisans, this piece captures the colors, textures and movements of the waves crashing on the beach. The ocean has always inspired my art and having discovered weaving during the pandemic, I have found a medium that is not only inspired by the ocean, but one which can be done on the beach!
Bio
<p>Michelle Kaskovich is a mixed media artist who draws her inspiration from the California Coastline. Her textile pieces are created using fibers found in second hand shops as well as hand spun yarns sourced from Oaxaca, Mexico.</p>
